Abstract of eSCM based process improvement presentation

In a brief presentation, Mr. Kumar will provide an overview of the eSCM (eSourcing Capability Model for Service Providers) the emerging model for IT enabled services, its benefits and implementation approach.
The eSCM-SP (http://itsqc.cs.cmu.edu) is a best practices model that provides in IT Enabled Sourcing service providers with the means of continuously improving their delivery of high-quality services. This helps service providers to differentiate themselves from competitors. On the other hand, sourcing clients have been using it as a means of evaluating service provider’s capabilities.
The presentation aims to introduce the concepts, intent and content of the model. It goes on to describe how eSCM would help service providers to endure and enhance client relationships. The main topics that would be covered as a part of this presentation are:
- Model structure: the three-dimensional framework of eSCM, ten capability areas, three phases and five capability levels.
- How the model addresses the challenges faced by the ITES service providers are discussed in “Benefits and business value” section of the presentation. The presentation continues with a real life benefits accrued by the organizations, which have implemented eSCM.
- The concluding section of the presentation provides an approach for implementation for an organization that plans to adapt to eSCM framework.
