“The Importance of Software Process Management for Software Quality, Testing and Industry Development”
ABSTRACT
In this presentation, we define and briefly explain the role of quality and testing, and quality assurance programs in software development. We stress the significance of quality software as a driver of business results in the enterprise. The presentation then turns to the importance of Quality in Delivering Offshore IT services. The relevance of attaining quality certifications is emphasized. At the core of the presentation is a description of the SEI’s Vision in software development. Great emphasis is placed in the key role “Process” plays in software development. The presentation culminates with the benefits that the Capability Maturity Model Integrated, CMMI, can accrue to a software enterprise. |
